Abigail worked for the Global Risk Management Casualty Department at Marsh this summer. Her daily activities included, but were not limited to, verifying policies, drafting letters to clients, filing endorsement, and preparing loss runs. She was also given the opportunity to work on special projects for her boss, pertaining to specific client requests. Her introductory RMI classes had sufficiently prepared her for the duties of this job, and enabled her to accomplish them in a minimum amount of time.
Abigail participated in a rewarding community service activity, and weekly intern workshops. The company provided her with a buddy, who was a Temple RMI graduate, and a mentor who has been with the company for five years. Most of her colleagues were within her age range, which made the atmosphere fun. Her favorite things about the internship were the people and the department lunches. She would hope for more work, during the internship, as the first two weeks were rather slow. Overall she found her co-workers extremely helpful and would definitely recommend the company.
