Spencer Educational Foundation Scholarship
The Spencer Foundation stimulates, promotes, and encourages promising undergraduates and graduates of the risk management and insurance discipline in fulfilling their educational goals by providing scholarship awards and educational grants. Established in 1979 to honor the late Robert S. Spencer, the foundation is administered by its Board of Directors and affiliated with the Risk and Insurance Management Society Inc. (RIMS) in New York. Sigma Chapter is proud to announce that fifteen of our students have been awarded several scholarships from the Spencer Educational Foundation.
Maguire Foundation Scholarships
The Maguire Foundation provides last dollar scholarship support to up to five students in each institution’s incoming freshman class for four years of matriculation.
Maguire Scholars are selected by their respective institutions, and must remain in good academic standing (3.0) and be an active participant in school and/or community volunteer extra-curricular activities.

Insurance Society of Philadelphia 100th Anniversary Scholarships (ISOP)
The Insurance Society of Philadelphia is proud to partner with three of the top five nationally ranked collegiate risk management programs, according to a September 2015 U.S. News & World Report ranking of colleges. Students who receive scholarship funding and internship assistance from ISOP attend area colleges including University of Pennsylvania, St. Joseph’s University and Temple University.
Since 2001, ISOP has raised $221,000 for the 100th Anniversary Scholarship fund, which was established to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Society. At events throughout the year, ISOP raises money through ticket sales to fund scholarships exclusively for students studying risk management and insurance in the region.

Kevin Lo Memorial Scholarship
The Kevin Lo Memorial Scholarship has been established by a group of Kevin's colleagues at Munich Re America to honor the memory of Kevin, a young professional and dear friend who passed away at the age of twenty four. Kevin was truly an inspiration. He achieved honors as a student of risk management at Temple University while working several jobs to put himself through college and to help support his family's financial needs. After college, Kevin continued to build a promising career at Munich Re America, where he aspired to become an insurance underwriter.

The Actuaries Club of Philadelphia is an organization that is dedicated to providing continuing education and networking opportunities to actuaries in the Greater Philadelphia area. The Actuaries Club also provides financial support to actuarial students at the undergraduate level to promote their future actuarial careers.
