The Alumni Affairs team aims to maintain strong relationships with the Sigma Chapter's vast alumni network. By establishing strong alumni relationships, the Alumni Affairs team enhances opportunities for alumni and member interaction, and contributes to member professional development. The Alumni Affairs team actively manages the alumni database to ensure all alumni information is updated. By managing the database, the Alumni Affairs team supports fundraising for chapter events throughout the year.

The Career Development Team aims to integrate as much of the corporate world into our members' lives as possible. In doing so, our members will gain exposure, intelligence, and an understanding of the Risk Management and Insurance industry to cultivate a successful future career. The CD team brings interaction between our members and industry professionals. This interaction comes in many different forms and ultimately leads to furthering the mission of Gamma Iota Sigma by enhancing the professionalism of its members.

CommunicationsThis functional area aims to communicate events, achievements, and general Sigma Chapter happenings to the students and Risky Business Listserv.

Community AffairsCommunity Affairs aims to create awareness about the need to serve the community and enhance the unity and contribution of our members towards sincere service to the community.

FinanceThe Finance team aims to ensure adequate and proper availability of resources to finance the chapter's activities.

MembershipThe membership team aims to accurately report everything that happens in our chapter to the Grand Chapter in order to connect with the fraternity as a whole. The Membership team also ensures that our Chapter's members are properly registered with the Grand Chapter, both new members and renewal members. Finally, the Membership team also tracks and reports members who have obtained the Designation of Membership with Academic Distinction.

The VP of Management Operations handles some of the day-to-day logistics of the officer pool and events. This includes ordering food for meetings, maintaining office supplies, and working closely with the RIHM Department.

MIS aims to strategically implement new technologies in order to improve efficiency of organizational operations and daily processes. The MIS team also operates the Sigma Chapter website.

Professional DevelopmentProfessional Development's aim is to prepare our members for their careers by bridging the gap between life as a student and life as a professional. The PD Team does this by fine-tuning their professionalism through workshops and one-on-one sessions with consultants that focus on interview skills, resume building, etiquette, and social skills that will help them succeed in the workplace.
Student AffairsThe Student Affairs Team aims to plan, advertise, and attend social events in order to create relationships between members that will last throughout their careers.

Public RelationsPublic Relations aims to establish a positive message by promoting, advertising, and recognizing the achievements of Sigma Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma.
