Provide a general description of the work at your internship.
I helped manage and analyze annual enterprise risk management surveys, worked with brokers related to things like issuing and distributing certificate of insurance, and etc.
Did you have a mentor?
Yes
If so, how did he/she help you during your internship?
She helped me through the entire internship and provided me advice and feedback related to both the projects I worked on anything related to my future career path.
Did you feel your RMI/AS classes better prepared you for the internship?
Yes, I think the RMI classes definitely helped me better prepared my internship, especially the Property and Casualty I, II classes, that provided me a good understanding of different policies and general insurance operations. Interviewing/Hiring Process Comments:
2 rounds on-site interviews: first round is with the HR and the hiring manager, second round is with the senior vice president of the Enterprise Risk Management department
Were you assigned any special projects? If so please describe.
I completed a final personal project which helped me apply the ERM knowledge learned through the internship to make a risk assessment about a company that I'm personally very interested in. I was able to present to the department during the last week of my internship.
What were the supplemental benefits besides the pay?

I participated in and facilitated quarterly ERM processes as well as engaged in Corporate Insurance Practices. Additionally, I conducted enterprise counter party risk assessments.

If so, how did he/she help you during your internship?
They were a direct manager that gave professional insight and advice outside scope of the position.
Did you feel your RMI/AS classes better prepared you for the internship?
Yes
Interviewing/Hiring Process Comments:
There were two interviews.
Were you assigned any special projects? If so please describe.
Presented a personal project which required applying Radian’s ERM Framework to conduct a high-level Enterprise-wide risk assessment for NIKE using publicly available information.
What were the supplemental benefits besides the pay? (Internship Lunches, Housing, Sports Games, Happy Hours, etc.)
There were lunches and times to network with other interns as well as business leaders. There were also site visits to our brokers at Willis and Aon.
Describe the company's internship program (atmosphere, work load, work, housing, outside work activities, etc.).
Full time internship, very comfortable and friendly work atmosphere. My mentor encouraged me to get involved in DV-RIMS through which I became a student liaison for the organization.
Was the internship what you expected after the interviewing/hiring process?
Yes
Were you provided time off besides the weekend?
There were opportunities to work from home, but I never asked for time off.
