Melissa interned at Healthcare Analytics in Princeton New Jersey. So she didn’t have to adjust to a new city much, but she spent a lot of time in the office. While there, Melissa spent her days helping with the completion of IBNR reports and Actuarial benefit comparison reports. She was also given a long-term project to build and then manage a GASB45, FAS106, and an incurred-but-not-reported (IBNR) client report database. She believes she could have completed the internship without the help of her classes because she found a very helpful mentor.
Melissa found the internship to be exactly what she expected after her easy-going interview process. Melissa was pleased that the company provided free breakfast on Fridays, along with a mini golf outing, two happy hours and an occasional free lunch. She particularly enjoyed the corporate culture of Healthcare Analytics because of their friendly coworkers and wonderful office building. However, Melissa wasn’t pleased with the location of the internship or the workload she was given. She would not recommend this company to other students.
