This summer An work at RLI where she produced 2nd quarter management report for short term disability and 2nd quarter claims report for STD. She did not have a mentor but everyone was very willing to help. She thought that the RMI/Act Sci classes were very helpful in understanding the terms and ratios in her daily work.
Some special projects included 2nd QMR, claims report and updating the documents process of producing the reports. The biggest benefit was the experience of real actuarial work on the P/C side. She really loved how “extreme” the work as well as how much she learned about the industry. Her only dislike was when she had to wait for certain files in order to continue to do her work. She would definitely recommend this company to anyone interested in the management side of P/C.
