Provide a general description of the work at your internship.
I created User Tool reports for the Risk Control and Strategy Governance team for their oversight for the Card and Auto business. Moreover, I developed 130 charts which show the trend in Approvals and Declines for Auto Loans and Credit Cards represented by FICO Scores. Finally, I received exposure of the Risk Control and Self-Assessment (RCSA) Process, which allowed me to apply that knowledge to other areas of the business

If so, how did he/she help you during your internship?
My mentor was a Risk Management and Insurance alumnus from St. Josephs University so she really helped me with my career choices regarding the transition between insurance risk management to credit risk management.
Did you feel your RMI/AS classes better prepared you for the internship?
The idea of having the right price with the right risk from my RMI classes allowed me to comprehend some of the risk mitigation strategies implemented by Chase.
Were you assigned any special projects? If so please describe.
I was tasked with creating trends with in approvals and declines for credit cards and auto loans based on FICO scores. This allowed the Quality Assurance team how well Chase is doing in its acquisition goals.
What were the supplemental benefits besides the pay?
Summer CCB Risk Happy Hour, escape the room, and bowling events.
Describe the company's internship program.
The company culture was excellent. There was a constant team experience where I never felt as if I was not part of the group. My manager expected mistakes to be made, and taught me the best way to improve. The internship overall was a great experience.
Was the internship what you expected after the interviewing/hiring process?
I expected the internship to be a great learning experience where I learn about the business operations,. The program did an excellent job giving me the exposure I needed to gain invaluable experience.
