Provide a general description of the work at your internship.
In my role much of my job was to review property inspection reports and organize the information for our underwriters. Other tasks I was assigned were to process endorsements and meticulously check files to make sure all crucial documents are present.
Did you have a mentor?
No
Did you feel your RMI/AS classes better prepared you for the internship?
Absolutely, people who are not familiar with our RMI program are dumbfounded by the amount of knowledge our students posses prior to completing our degree and entering the industry.
Were you assigned any special projects?
I was assigned to make corrections, review and format our Cannabis Risk Guidelines.
What were the supplemental benefits besides the pay?
We had regular team lunches and employee picnics.
Describe the company's internship program.
The work environment was very pleasant and friendly.
Was the internship what you expected after the interviewing/hiring process?
Yes
Were you provided time off besides the weekend?
I had the option, but I did not take any time off during my summer internship.
