Joseph worked at the McIntyre Group in Cherry Hill, NJ. Most of his day was spent check-listing policies, which entailed reading and making sure the policies were to negotiation specifications. The remainder of his time was spent either assisting the client specialists with daily tasks or in training. He did have a mentor there. The RMI classes gave him a basis for interpreting and understanding the various insurance policies that he read on a daily basis.
During his time there, Joseph was assigned to create two different Excel spreadsheets detailing the various available state credits and experience mod factor revision rules for all 50 states. The spreadsheets were complete with manual links and the legal basis for the various credits and rules. Some benefits were the various happy hours at many different locations and he had dinner at a function where he met a former Eagles player, Vince Papale. He liked everything about his internship. He thought the people he worked with were great, the workload was challenging and interesting, and the atmosphere was unlike anywhere he worked before. He also thought the training was “superb”. He did not have any dislikes, and would totally recommend the McIntyre Group to his fellow students.
