​This summer Kevin Ro worked at ACE in the Internal Audit Department in Philadelphia, PA. He performed various testing on audits, mainly Sarbanes-Oxley work on the operations side, he also got to work with many different claim systems and different databases. He did not have a mentor. The RMI classes helped him become more aware of the processes and technology of the business.

Kevin was not contacted through the traditional GIS email for his internship. One of the special projects he worked on was a Sarbanes Oxley audit where he had to test a control. Kevin enjoyed some supplemental benefits which included lunches and networking opportunities. He most enjoyed the people he worked with who were “excellent” because they were always friendly and willing to help. He also really enjoyed that he was doing meaningful and relevant work. Kevin does admit that the work did get tedious at timea. He would recommend ACE to other students.
