Ed O’Malley has over 30 years of experience in the employee benefit and risk management field. Ed serves as Philadelphia Metro Region Practice Leader for Gallagher Benefit Services (GBS), a division of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. His current responsibilities include thought leadership, business development and account management for a number of the specialty practice Niches at GBS. Ed has helped hundreds of employers create a sustainable benefits and compensation program through strategic investments in employee health and increased employee engagement and proactive solutions. His clients include public and private firms with special emphasis on government entities, religious and non-profit organizations as well as healthcare and technology companies. Ed was formerly with Marsh and McLennan Agency as a Senior managing consultant and served as a Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Commerce Insurance Services for nearly twenty years.

Ed has served in many appointed and elected positions and currently serves on the board of directors of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists and serves on the membership committee of PEBA. Ed is a member of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers and the National Association of Health Underwriters. He also is Chairman of the Governor’s Office of Volunteerism for the State of New Jersey. A tireless advocate for the disabled and children, Ed has served as President of Cerebral Palsy of NJ and Chairman of the Southern New Jersey March of Dimes. He founded The Evesham Education Foundation and currently serves as chairman of the Lenape Regional Foundation. Ed chaired the 2011 /2012 United Way Campaign and has served his local community for many years as Fire Commissioner of Evesham Fire Rescue. He was recently the recipient of the United Way of Burlington County Volunteer of the Year Award for his efforts in raising over $2 million dollars for numerous agencies in the region. Ed and his wife Barbara have six children (two of whom are Fox School Grads) and one grandchild, and reside in Marlton NJ.
